No we’re not talking about out of work soap stars being forced to return to the street or the square to keep up their mortgage repayments as the west end wasn’t paying enough. This a new 2 part documentary in which vaguely slebby people take themselves down a peg or two and see what it’s like living on benefits and seeking employment in yet more recession-inspired programming.

BBC 1, 23:35 Jobless
We don’t mean to depress you so early in the week, maybe it is recession Tuesday at the beeb. This documentary was filmed throughout 2009 and chronicles the lives of people affected by unemployment. Maybe we’ll have something chirpier for you tomorrow night!
